Twisted Peyote Necklace

Spiral beading is a very clever way of showing off those little seed beads but it can be very time consuming and painful if you are not an advanced beader. I've discovered this very simple technique so there is no need to calculate each step. It is simply worked in peyote stitch, Thread a line of beads for the required length which would be the spine of your work (You can see I used yellow seed beads in this project.) Then starting with the same size seed beads in different colour and work a row of peyote till the end. When you finish, turn and work another row of peyote with a different colour but same size seed beads however this time add 2 beads between each gap instead of one. You will notice your work start curling around. Next row use a size bigger seed beads and keep adding 2 beads between the beads from previous row. I hope you get the principle so you can adjust it to your project. It is very easy once you get going and result is very striking.
